Responsibilities of Addiction Therapists:

    > Empower patients to reclaim their lives and achieve optimal health and well-being
    > Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients struggling with addiction, including those with a DUI charge.
    > Provide evidence-based addiction treatment modalities, including individual and group therapy sessions.
    > Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
    > Collaborate with clients’ families, medical professionals, and other community resources to ensure comprehensive care.
    > Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and build trust in therapeutic relationships.
    > Provide education and counseling to clients on substance abuse, chemical dependency, process addiction, psychiatric illness, and treatment options.

Responsibilities of Addiction Therapists:

  • > Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
    > Licensed therapist in the state of Maryland (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or other relevant licenses)
    > Knowledge of addiction treatment modalities and evidence-based practices
    > Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    > Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    > Additional credentials or certifications, such as CADC, CSAC, CAC, LAC, LCDC, or CCMHC are desirable and may be considered.
