Work Injury? Get Evaluated and Plan Your Recovery

Reading Time: 2 min

Unfortunately, workplace injuries are a common problem. In 2020 alone, 2.7 million people sustained nonfatal illnesses and injuries on the job, and another 4,764 incidents resulted in death. Workplace injuries can affect anyone, regardless of industry. And, whether the injuries are preventable or not, they require immediate attention. Our team at All Day Medical Care Clinic offers occupational health care services, including injury care. If you hurt yourself on the job, don’t wait to seek medical attention, even if it doesn’t seem like an emergency at the time. Instead, follow these steps to ensure you get the treatment you need as soon as possible.

Alert your employer

If you get an injury on the job that doesn’t require immediate medical attention, alert your supervisor right away. This will allow them to fill out any necessary paperwork, document your injuries, and connect you with a qualified team of experts authorized to provide occupational health care, such as our team in Maryland.

If you have a severe injury or one requiring immediate attention, call 911 or have someone take you to the hospital immediately and contact your employer afterward.

Schedule a medical evaluation

After your injury, it’s critical to schedule a thorough medical evaluation.

Our team has experience providing occupational medicine and screening services for a wide range of industries and companies across Maryland, including:

  • Restaurants, hotels, and entertainment venues
  • Retail settings, including grocery stores
  • Home health, community health, nursing homes, and veterinary practices
  • Educational institutions and child care facilities
  • Commercial and residential construction, including service companies and contractors
  • Engineering, automotive, landscape, consulting, and placement agencies
  • Bus and truck drivers, airlines, and car services

Our diverse experience gives us extensive skill and familiarity in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic workplace injuries. We also have bilingual Spanish speakers on staff at all times to ensure access to quality care for everyone.

During your consultation, we also thoroughly document our findings for your employer and health care provider. This documentation can help ensure you receive potential workers’ compensation if applicable.
